Seniors’ Europe, or systemic risk posed by the ageing of the population

Summary/Abstract: This article aims to outline the risks posed by the pandemic of chronic diseases and their impact on the system for organizing and financing of health care. Discussions are based on the international statistical data. As a result, the author proposes a target model that should be an integrated health care model, in which the emphasis is on a holistic approach to the patient. The work is a review.
