Summary/Abstract: Risk management in health care entities requires a professional approach. Risk managers are the representatives of this profession, who ensure comprehensive and effective risk management. First of all, they have the appropriate background to perform this function, especially in terms of risk management methods in health care organizations. These issues are addressed by the paper, which aims to discuss the place and role of risk managers in health care entities. Therefore, the paper has theoretical character. In particular, the deliberations concern the presence of risk managers in the Polish health care organizations (commercial hospitals).
