Web 2.0 Technologies: New Possibilities for Digital Information Services of Bosnian Institutions of Heritage

Summary/Abstract: Information services of institutions of heritage, as a result of redefining the broader information-service environment, are particularly transformed in connection with possibilities that offered in the field of information services, first of all Web 1.0, and later in another more intensive form Web 2.0 technologies. Information services of institutions of heritage, thanks to their immanently communication as well as participating nature, are among the first heritage services which are quite evident and increased in the last few years begun to take advantage offered by Web 2.0 technologies in the field of realization of digital information services. Institution of heritage intensively promote its information services using tools like podcasts, blogs, wikis, digital video games, Web 2.0 social networks, virtual worlds, but also those of future tools whose development is still in front of us. Certainly, Web 2.0 tools, available in public have enabled a variety of manifestations of heritage information services in redefined environment and for Bosnian institutions of heritage.
