Summary/Abstract: This concise essay sketches the less prominent SS officers at the Kommandantur of the Terezín ghetto. Fedorovič shows the everyday tasks of the SS and their internal conflicts, as well as the authority structure from BdS Prague, Zentralamt and Eichmanns` IVB4 in Berlin. Several of the SS were sent to Terezín from other crucial stations of the Final Solution, or were redirected to the front or martial SS from there. Several belonged to the „Viennese group“ along Adolf Eichmann. The SS, with aproximately 28 officers, was relatively weakly represented; the actual guarding of the ghetto was executed by Czech gendarmes. The author shows how the SS privately utilised the services of the Jewish prisoners, such as for medical reasons. Aftre the war, some of the men were punished; many escaped to Western Germany; several worked for the Stasi in the GDR.
