Summary/Abstract: Article is devoted to Fedor Rodichev and Vladimir Nabokov — outstanding graduates of the St. Petersburg University at the end of 19th century. On the basis of a wide range of sources, the authors describe the development outlook of future politicians, show the role of the University in their life and fate, reveal the origins of their public activity.
