The role of the intelligence structures in the early warning system is a major one, especially in supporting and streamlining the decision-making cycle and the activities carried out under NATO crisis response system. The main argument that can be made in the support of this assessment is that effective management and efficient implementation of a crisis supposedly based on a true and fair view of the situation needs to adopt the optimal solution of decision for planning the best course of action and to know when and how involved the necessary resources to achieve the best result to ensure the full achievement of the objectives set.
