The Main Frame of the Cultural Journey as Re-Evaluation Factor of the Cultural Memory

Summary/Abstract: This critic essay is focused on the main steps that transform a cultural voyage in a cultural ceremony, like in most of traveling diaries. We try to discuss the problem of traveling as an ontological, ethic end aesthetic process, especially when in the middle of the system is a Romanian writer, who has his/her own expectations toward experience of travel. That is why we follow the rules of a voyage concerning the three most important levels: expectation, recognition and illumination or happiness in meeting. For each step, any Romanian writer develops a certain attitude that means: analyses, introspections, parallel or overlapping attitudes, confidence, valuation of places, moments and spiritual targets. Following this route, any cultural voyage becomes an acquisition for the Romanian culture itself, because each writer offers a particular attitude towards Europe as huge melting-pot. On the other hand, a traveling diary can improve and cure our nowadays national mentality according to which Romanian culture is a small and an insignificant part of the huge European construct. That is not true at all, we try to demonstrate the fact that Romanian writers and their works can offer new and correct perspectives about our main position in Europe.
