Linguistic anthropology considerations regarding the terminology of the occupations in the north-west region of Romania

Summary/Abstract: The essay presents, from a linguistic anthropology point of vue, the terminology of the occupations found on the north-western Romanian teritory. The essay proposes a description and a linguistic analyse of this terminology, in synchrony and diachrony, based on materials that have been extracted from the romanian linguistic atlases, etnotexts and and dialectual glossaries. The overall peacefull cohabitation of a several number of minorities: ucrainian, hungarian and german together with the romanian majority has created a great number of interferences in the occupational denomination system.
