Summary/Abstract: The article studies the relation of Antonio Rosmini Serbati, a prominent Italian philosopher of the first phase of the Italian Risorgimento, to the philosophy of St. Thomas Aquinas as the most extent, holistic and representative for the Christianity. Focusing on the issue of natural law, the author analyzes the personal view of Rosmini on the importance and magnitude of Aquinas’ philosophy, as well as certain aspects of convergence and divergence of both doctrines. Concerning Rosmini’s thought, the author notices a larger philosophical context of his doctrine. The article partially refers to author’s book that studies Rosmini’s philosophy of law, for Rosmini is hardly discussed in Poland and his thought seems to be worthy to know, what finds its additional reason in a fact that he was included by the catholic Church into a body of the blessed on November 18, 2007.
