Social work: profession, vocation and citizenship behavior. A historical perspective

Summary/Abstract: The social work profession involves a solid theoretical education and a practical experience based on personal abilities and strenghts. Unederlying the relevance of those two issues for the evaluation of professional vocation of the sociale workers, the article analyses some of the istorical dimensions of the civic and moral behavior that is part of every type of activity concerning social work intervention.
