Summary/Abstract: The complexity of the operational space includes ample developments in actors, interactions, and environment conditions.Although discarded, the concept of Effects Based Operations, as well as the Operations Other than War point to new requirements for the soldiers. Among these, the necessity of an expeditionary spirit is important, the cultural issues make intelligence, and special forces and law enforcement become the forerunners of the new kind of adaptive soldiers and commanders.
