Summary/Abstract: The term logistics covers a wide range of activities. The development of information technologies has led to a paradigm shift in logistics management which has significantly disrupted the activities of the military institution. In the civil area this sector developed into a stand-alone one with activities of its own. Military structure had to adapt to this phenomenon being faced by the outsourcing phenomenon that was mainly due to increased complexity of the sector. Logistics has become a new economic area encompassing transport, storage, handling, real estate management, information services, etc. In this respect, a consistent approach to logistics superior military education is crucial so that the future specialist on logistics should have necessary academic knowledge at the quarry regarding the supply, movement and transport, maintenance, medical support, infrastructure, campaign services, contracting, the HN support, related fields. The awareness of the fact that logistics of consume should have a single university point of origin can provide a shared vision of logistics officers who will be managing the Romanian Army in 2027. The remaining within the old paradigms will only deprive the combat forces from capable specialists.
