Summary/Abstract: The global and regional security environment is marked by difficulties în countering classical, asymmetric and hybrid risks and threats. It is necessary to pay a particular attention to the medium and long-term tendencies of the geostrategic games reconfiguration. These successive events bring în front of us challenges that arise from the resurgence of nationalism and extremism ethnic-religious fragmentation and ideological radicalization. The rapid development of information technology led to new risks and threats that are hard to identify and counter. They can quickly lead to cyber attacks that can affect critical infrastructure which can lead to regional and global energy crises.
