Summary/Abstract: In the presented paper we try to propose Slovak equivalents to the German terminology related to the valence of the German verbs, dependency syntax and sentence semantics with the aim to optimize and unify the presented terminology in the Slovak language. In the first part, we introduce and subsequently also exemplify a possible inventory of the in-depth grammatical cases that directly participate on constitution of semantic sentence models, as far as they are anchored in sememe of the verbal lexeme. In the second part of our paper, we emphasize the actant terminology reflecting morphosyntactic realization of individual participants of the grammatical aspect in composition of German sentences. In this connection, we particularly want to unify the Slovak terminology denominating individual actant classes into the form which we can use also in linguistic and didactic practice. We are aware of a need to make valence grammar more popular, while achievement of this goal also assumes its reflection in the process of language teaching.
