Summary/Abstract: This interview was conducted at the Social Economy - innovative model to promote active inclusion of disadvantaged people conference held between 12th and 14th of October, Bucharest which brought together initiators and promoters of social economy activities in Romania and other European countries. Roxana Damaschin- Ţecu is the Enterprise Development Director for the Central and Eastern Europe region. This interview deals with very up-to-date issues from the social economy field and outlines the general operating framework of social enterprises. Mrs. Roxana Damaschin-Ţecu presents the NESsT perspective on social enterprises, emphasizes the practic characteristics of the organization’s activities, highlights the limits of the Romanian legislation framework and states the lack of coherence between the institutions that regulate social enterprises. By the end of the interview Mrs. Damaschin-Ţecu provides some models of social economy activities that can serve as examples and contribute at the development of this field.
