Summary/Abstract: Contemporary specialist language teaching is a combination of linguistic, professional and socio-cultural areas of knowledge, applied in practice. The aims and contents of teaching are directed towards learners’ requirements and the development of the professional communicative competence. This article analyses the efficiency of teaching and learning specialist languages. The effectiveness in this field allows for a better specification not only linguistic but also professional and socio-cultural teaching material and choice of adequate and varied teaching aids.
