Summary/Abstract: Transformation of the public sector leads to changes in the field of employment. In this context some researchers point out at the importance of employability enhancement for the professional future of public sector employees. The paper tries to answer the following question: What are the results of employees’ employability enhancement in the public organizations under the conditions of change in the psychological contract between an employee and an employer? This aim will be achieved by presenting the results of literature studies and empirical research conducted in public administration organizations. The results of the interviews carried out among managers of municipal councils indicate that public organizations should enhance employability of their employees because it brings significant benefits for both employees and the organization.
