Strategic controlling of projects – a study of organizations functioning in Poland 2014-2015

Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this article is to present the results of the author’s research concerning strategic project controlling. It concentrated on an analysis of controllingu types used in project management processes in relation to the life cycle of projects implemented in organizations operating in Poland. They also refer to the reasons of usage and ways to implement rules and procedures for strategic controlling of projects. In the research people playing an important role in the strategic controlling of projects and their main responsibilities in this respect were also identified. The author took into account the degree of the respondents’ expectations concerning the current procedures for controlling projects, identified the advantages and disadvantages of currently used solutions and analyzed correlations between selected aspects of project controlling procedures at the strategic level.
