Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to deal with the application of the agile project management concept from the perspective of controlling processes. The author presents the basic elements of the SCRUM methodology as well as main project controlling issues. Based on above, specific aspects of the SCRUM methodology that refer to the recommendations resulting from strategic and operational controlling in project management are identified. This in particular concerns the structure of the project work, the key roles and actions of stakeholders, and the meetings and reports recommended in this approach for the process of obtaining information, especially at the project implementation stage. The author concludes with the comparison to monitoring and control recommendations commonly found in cascade project management approach.
