Negative synergy: areas of its occurrence in organisations

Summary/Abstract: This article aims to analyze the phenomenon of negative synergy (dis-synergy) occurring in different areas of the organisation. First the authors discuss the terminology of negative synergy phenomenon. Next they present the examples of dis-synergy in teamwork and mergers and analysed based on the literature referring to business management. Conclusions drawn from the analysis include the answer to the question about the reason of creating management systems in other areas of the organisation. At the end the authors formulate directions for further research of this phenomenon.
