Summary/Abstract: The theoretical part of the article intends to demonstrate the inseparability of culture and language, to defi ne the intercultural communicative competence and to accentuate the term’s relevance for the modern world. The empirical part, in turn, attempts to present creative writing in German-Polish student tandems as a step towards enhancing the above mentioned competence.
