Significance of Academic Network for the Bologna Educational System

Summary/Abstract: It is considered that the internationalization of one of the main initiators of the functioning of the University. A network can serve as a good instrument in the search for potential project partners, the formation of long-term cooperation, and will serve the motives for each stakeholder separately. The interaction between the university, which is achieved through this network, will show them at their advantages and disadvantages, as their presence will set the parameters that determine the quality standards of higher education in its every segments. Development of an integral academic network would provide the modernization of the educational process and scientific - research work, the integration of scientific - research institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the relevant international organizations, as well as international cooperation on technology transfer, knowledge and experience. The main objective of developing an academic network in certain region is given by development of modern user applications, such as virtual labs, video conferencing, distance learning, digital libraries, scientific research complex in the framework of international projects, etc. Using these services would significantly improve the educational and scientific - research, and globally increases the higher quality of education, integration and exchange of educational and scientific content.
