Summary/Abstract: The paper focuses on the opportunities of animalistic nominations as means of human identificationand qualification. We use as an example such animalistic nomination as bear in Russian andBulgarian language and culture, and also bear as a component of Russian and Bulgarian phraseologicalunits. In the category of human language, built on the association with the animal world, find themapping features of the national spirit and culture. The study aims to examine linguistics and culturespecificity in human characterization Russian and Bulgarian language.
