Summary/Abstract: This paper arose from a reading of Fractals: The Patterns of Chaos: Discovering a New Aesthetic of Art, Science, and Nature, by the well-known psychologist and writer on science and aesthetics John Briggs. The author of this paper seeks to emphasize that our perception of the world is multifaceted, and cann not be reduced solely to the scientific approach that observesthe world from a temporal cum spatial continuum. In other words, she lays the emphasis on the importance of other, thus far less fully addressed, dimensions of the world of nature, and the need to construct a more humane attitude to the sanctity of life in the world, which has long been beyond human control.
