Summary/Abstract: In this article we deal with some information about Costache Conachi and his family. We refer to some short notices about his activities in the fields of literature (mainly as a translator, but also as a donator), administration (his positions in the state hierarchy, his contributions to the public affairs), and as a land owner (taking care of his possessions in a modern way, giving money and expecting to be given back). The information regarding his family concerns three characters: his daughter, Ecaterina-Catinca (her marriage and, after her father’s death, empowering her husband to take care of the heritage), his step sister, Maria-Marghioala (some transactions with houses) and his wife, Smaranda Conachi (unfortunately, only one piece of information, regarding her death).
