Summary/Abstract: The comparison between the Serbian slava and the high school graduation balls in Bulgaria is unexpected. What is similar between the Serbian “slava” and the graduation balls in Bulgaria to justify their comparison? Both are part of the life cycle rituals, which have a calendar aspect, as well. Another feature, however, brings them even more closer together, e.g. that on the level of the family they are a significant economic burden, nevertheless they have been functioning vigorously in our days…
