Summary/Abstract: In connection with the development of monetary union in Europe, the problem of convergence of business cycles in member countries is gaining importance. The significant level of correlation of business cycles is necessary to make a single uniform monetary policy possible, which will be beneficial to all member countries. The aim of the first part of the article is to present some test results on the convergence of business cycles of European countries. The second part presents the results of own research concerning the correlation level of Polish and euro zone business cycles.
