Summary/Abstract: Text is a review of the novel „Usnulo srce“ / “Sleeping Heart” by young author Milica Stanarević. Author, among other things, highlights the striking art of storytelling in this novel based on fantastic-allegorical themes, with a central motif of the struggle between good and evil, and idea of condemnation of human selfishness and evil. Narrative skill and construction of the composition are especially impressive considering that this is a sixteen years author. “Milica Stanarević does not write in a straight line but in delicate shades, taking care of small details that complement the images and make the content lifelike (...) The dialogue in the book is very fluid, and often almost brilliant, which clearly shows the undeniable talent of the author”, states in his review, Spasojevic. However, he does not fails to reflect critically on some deficiencies in the narrative, but concludes that the book “Sleeping Heart” will certainly arouse the attention of young readers, ”because it captures curiosity, quality and the way it was written.”
