Summary/Abstract: Security Council is a permanent body activity, each member of Congress with a permanent representative at the organization. Security Council decisions are taken in the form of resolutions which are then public. Security Council resolutions are binding if they are made in accordance with the provisions of Chapter VII (Action with respect to threats to peace, breaches of peace and acts of aggression) of the Charter. Resolutions made under Chapter VI (peaceful settlement of disputes), however, no enforcement mechanisms and are generally considered not to be binding under international law. And yet these Council resolutions have become a benchmark for international politics, which basically small omissions, subject to comply with their provisions.
