Summary/Abstract: This paper shows how advertising deals with the promotion of goods, services, companies and ideas, often through paid messages. The purpose of these messages is to encourage potential customers’ desire, and forming positive associations about the product or the company promoted, a goal that is achieved by using methods of psychological manipulation, more or less subtle.
