Summary/Abstract: In most countries of the world, but especially in Europe, the women’s participation in the labor market has increased considerably in the last few decades. Currently, however, female labor force becomes more and more attractive. At the same time, the world population is aging, which results not only in the growth of women population, but also in a bigger share of the women in the employed population, considering that the life expectancy is longer for women than for men. Nevertheless, the cleavage that occurred since the moment when women began to be employed in factories, between the work of men and the work of women in terms of sectors that are better suited for each category, the cleavage of the income disparities and, implicitly, of the social evaluation of the labor of the two groups continues up to this day. The relationship between macro-economic policies and the improvement of women’s economic status continues to be very complicated, which is why the research in this direction should be intensified both for economic and ethical reasons.
