Summary/Abstract: Postmodernity has dertemined changes on all the levels of life: in economy, politics, religion, family life. These changes that we can find especially among young people, including the attitudes about family and sexuality, deliniate a modern view regarding these facts. Unlike the traditional outlook regarding the family, whose basic characteristics were: a large size family, distinct and important family functions, conjugal and parental relationships based on authority, the sacredness of family life; as a reverse, the modern view on family is rather fragmented regarding values, attitudes and behavoiurs. The selective adoption of both traditional and modern values and implicitly the lack of coherence or a ”new logic” of gender and family relationships seem to be the main characteristic of the modern attitude about family and sexuality .
