Summary/Abstract: The staff of an organization varies, from structural and numerical point of view, from one period to another, because of various causes, resignations, termination of the employment contracts, deaths, internal changes determined by the amplification or reductions of some activities, etc. To meet these changes, the policy of recruitment and selection promoted by the organization must ensure the anticipation of the need of employment, to cover its possibilities, choosing the suitable candidates for occupying the available posts. The recruitment and selection of human resources can be achieved either from internal or external sources, the company being the subject of study, with its internal policy to encourage the internal selection, respectively, at the equal results being preferred the internal candidate. For proper conduct of these important functions of human resources management, the company uses certain procedures as tools for recruitment and selection which lead to the desired efficiency.
