Summary/Abstract: Apiculture, a branch of agriculture which doesn't needs high investments, has become an occupation practiced either as a main source of income or simply as on recreational activity. Beekeeping may also have a therapeutic effect through the bio and dietetic products it provides. The researches made in different areas of Sălaj County, on a 20 km radius, have shown the effects of insecticides and pesticides on 210 beehives. The results show us the necessity of ecological agriculture's development by replacing chemical products with biological and biodegradable products, which are harmless for the environment.
