Summary/Abstract: Kasim Prohić is, doubtlessly, one of the most important and infl uential thinkers, writers and engaged intellectuals who appeared in the second half of the past century in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Prohić lived short but exceedingly arduous and rich life: he was philosopher, art essayist and critic, pedagogue, editor, and fi rst of all a man engaged in the major issues of his time. He left behind himself an enduring legacy of six books, beautiful translations of modern philosophical classics and numerous articles, reviews, interviews, polemics, notes, editorial works, etc. The author endeavors to present and reevaluate major aspects of the complex and prolific Prohić’s lifework.
