The Thirties Decade’], Cracow 2005. The author polemicises with Bocheński’s thesis interpreting the black humour present in Witkacy’s, W. Gombrowicz’s, and B. Schulz’s prose works as a manifestation of longing for a metaphysical order. The reviewer identifies a different group of inspirations: A. Jarry’s and surrealists’ writings, pataphysical manifestos.
