Summary/Abstract: The article is focused on professional orientation and career orientation of university students, focusing on the subjective nature of the factors that determine career orientation. For research purposes the questionnaire methods were used. Questionnaire 1 captured the development of the visions of the future profession, motivation to study the chosen field and value orientation. Questionnaire 2 was represented by a Differentiation interest survey (Diferenciační zájmový dotazník – DZT). The sample consisted of students of the Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague, Faculty of Economics and Management and students of Faculty of Agrobiology, Food and Natural Resources. The result was a mapping of personal history of the respondents focused on the development of professional orientation in relation to the effects of influencing factors and evaluation of the potential for practical application of research results to work with the applicants and the students during their studies.
