Summary/Abstract: As a teacher, the main aim is the most important part of the lesson plan. This is what the teacher wants the students to be able to do, or do better, at the end of the lesson, that they couldn’t do at the beginning. But is the e-trainer able to impose this point of view on the content developer? The issue of expressing the aim in terms of student outcomes, not in teacher actions, becomes the most important when focusing on e-learning. The present paper aims at being a comparative study between modern ways of teaching a foreign language and e-learning, implemented in order to obtain a sustainable model that will bring added value to all those involved in research programs on non-formal learning.
