Summary/Abstract: My paper deals with the forms taken by the metaphorical phenomenon in the oral discourse. The general theoretical frame is based on the methodological distinctions proposed by Eugen Coseriu, about the three plans of the language. My hypothesis deals with the possibility of distinguishing among three types of metaphorical content, each corresponding to a plan of the language: metaphorical designation, metaphorical significance and metaphorical sense. Through the analysis of some excerpts of the oral corpus I shall pass to the analysis of different types of metaphorical content in function of their capacity of assuming the function of figure.
