Some Forms of Deferential Approach in the Romance Pronominal System

Summary/Abstract: The present article combines a quantitative and qualitative analysis of how and why, in the Romance context, they use some definite courtesy pronouns. Some authors consider these as pragmatic connectors that can measure, in a significant way, the relationship between participants in a conversation, depending on the context and the mentality of the period. The reverential expression shows different comparative, historic and sociolinguistic aspects.
