Perspectives of pictorial and verbal

Summary/Abstract: In his essay Perspectives of Pictorial and Verbal, Sead Alić analyses the impact of picture on our perception of the world and, the technical conditionality of our impression and the impact of new technologies on our perception. Pictures, photographs, visual objects, images are potentially products of a whole spectrum of human capabilities/insights/relations vis à vis other human beings. However, what communicates most frequently and most powerfully within this perception are the passions fused in the visual carrier of information with passions of their recipient. Image used to generate wars within us, or at least incited them. It is with image, on the other hand, that we fight against wars.
