The level of technical infrastructurein Voivodeship cities in Poland

Summary/Abstract: In this article the attempt has been made to describe and compare the level of infrastructure development in voivodeship cities in Poland. On the basis of the characteristic diagnostic features e.g. the length of water supply distribution network, the length of natural gas and transmission distribution network, the speed of the Internet, the length of cycling paths) the taxonomic synthetic measurements for researched cities have been constructed. For this research the spatial data rows for the year 2011 have been collected. This research is very important for the description of the researched cities as far as the level of development in particular areas is concerned. It also enables to distinguish the group of the cities with a similar level of infrastructure development.
