Changes of the participation levelof own communes income in the total incomeof Podkarpackie Voivodeship communes in 2006, 2012

Summary/Abstract: The aim of the paper is to identify the Podkarpackie Voivodeship communes which in 2006 and 2012 (V and VI cadences) were characterized by the highest participation level of the own income in total income and the highest growth rate of this paricipation. Moreover, the aim is also an attempt to determine common characteristics of these communes which characteristics could be regarded as determinants of the high participation level of own income in total income. Conducted research has shown that the Podkarpackie Voivodeship communes are characterized by significat diversity of the participation ratio level of the own communes income in total income (it ranges from 10,2% to 72,7%). Urban communes have the highest participation level and rural communes the lowest. The most dynamic growth of own income in relation to total income takes place in poorly developed rural communes, with low budget and low population density.
