Summary/Abstract: This article is dedicated to the output of the 19th century poet, Leon Janiszewski, a member of the Caucasion Group. Janiszewski apart from others Caucasion poets was not only an exile but also, or even mainly, unknown and undetected author, whose works did not reach elaboration (mostly on account of lack of materials). This work, primarily a fragment of doctoral thesis has in view approximation a figure of Leon Janiszewski. Few approachable works of Janiszewski allow one to perceive an interesting founder in him, strongly convinced about his own talent. Even superficial look on some of his work (extremely interesting prose) is sufficient argument to attempt more and believe this usurpatory poet. While a gap in history of Polish literature (the Caucasian group is not well known term) is begging for proper fulfilment.
