Summary/Abstract: The erosion that one-party socialist system in the area of ex Yugoslavia at the beginning of the last decade of the 20th century, there was stage pluralist multi-party system of liberal democracy. In addition to systemic political emerged and many other changes, including the state archives in emerging mainly reflected in a change in ownership relations in the economic sphere of work. Some business entities are extinct, others have been privatized, and the third continued tofunction in some form of social or state ownership.Based on the idea that the registry system in state ownership remained in the focus of interest of archival activities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, it is, at least according to the published findings, remained uncertain fate of archive material of extinct and privatized registry. The reasons for this situation is certainly more. The subject of this paper are archival service activities on disposal (protection and assuming the archive) and materials in accordance with archival rules, which is operative in the explicit jurisdiction archival services for the protection of archives in the making. It is expected that the results of the study emphasize the good and bad sides of the labor archives in this area, which would serve to further rational guidance of professional activities, in order to improve the protection of archival material as the most important issues in the work of archival activities in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
