Summary/Abstract: The work examines historical aspects of financial journalism in English speaking countries with emphasis on the elements of accountability and access reporting. The author illustrates how financial journalism in USA and Great Britain evolved over time, including the predecessors of financial press, muckracking initiatives, in-depth reporting of Kilgore’s era, modern investigative reporting, and the current reactive reporting of the business dailies and magazines.
