Summary/Abstract: The year 1989 didn't offer to the world any new ideas, but has just been a period of implementing the the concepts of liberal democracy and market economy-proved and also partly damaged alrteady elsewhere- in the countries of Central Eastern Europe. This statement nearly became a commoin place. But where did all the ideas go, which were so essential for the preparation of the 1989 political changes? What happened to the ideas born in the democratic opposition movements of the 1970s and 80s?
