Summary/Abstract: The nature, determinants and consequences of corporate entrepreneurship have been extensively researched in Western economies (Zahra et al., 1999). In transition economies, little research attention has been devoted to entrepreneurial firms. The purpose of the present study is to explore the link between entrepreneurial orientation and the performance in Bulgarian enterprises. Our findings confirm previous empirical evidence about the significant positive relationship between entrepreneurial orientation and firm performance. The paper discusses practical implications and recommendations for future research.
