Summary/Abstract: Employee engagement is one of the key factors, improving organizational performance. Research findings show, that companies with high level of employee engagement perform much better than companies where employees are not engaged. It suggests therefore, that management has to focus on creating corporate conditions and climate improving engagement of the employees. The aim of this paper to present how employee engagement influence business performance. The first section of the paper explains the meaning of employee engagement. The second section relates to measurement and determinants of engagement. Research results showing the impact of employee engagement on performance were presented in the last section.
