Summary/Abstract: Ćopić ̀s texts contain an ambivalent, both tragic and humorous experience of war and postwar events described in the collection of tales Doživljaji Nikoletine Bursaća and the novel Ne tuguj bronzana stražo. According to Bahtin ̀s theory, this has regenerating effect in restoring of life in this world. Thus death and all troubles in Branko Ćopić ̀s literary texts are pervaded by liberating humor.
